what language are these songs?
Jan. 27th, 2006 06:23 pmExhibit A: A song apparently called 981 or 11-981. I thought Spanish or Portuguese at first, or maybe something Slavic. Chris says Hebrew or Arabic. Whatever. It's cool. I have no idea where I got it or anything about it.
Exhibit B: Astaroth 8 Minute Note Mix. Tiang says it's not Lao, and probably something like Japanese. I'm skeptical. I know what Japanese sounds like from years of experience in listening to Japanese music and watching subtitled anime. It's not likely to be Japanese, but since I know no Japanese people, I have no easy way of finding out. It COULD be Lao. I've been unable to tell that a song was in English on numerous occasions.
(It's Malay, actually)
Here are some other musings.
Crosswords: The Dig had a Pig Latin crossword, making it the most bizarre format for a crossword yet. I promise that I will scan this and that other warked up crossword puzzle. No, I have no idea if the answers are in Pig Latin. I'll find out next week.
Oh, Takeout Chinese and Caffeine, please give me the strength to beat Super Mario Bros. 3 as Frog Mario.
