Interlude - a rose among autumn leaves
Oct. 8th, 2008 04:45 pmNo, I don't have a picture, but since Beanerd said it would be really cool to see a rose amongst all the red and yellow.
By the way, pansies don't count. I've seen pansies in bloom in late November. Petunias? Who knows? I'm not sure if they're supposed to bloom in autumn or not. Peony? Doubt it. Pansies are like insects. They were here long before we were and they'll be here long after we're gone. Insects survived all but one mass extinction and the reason they didn't survive the Ordovician extinction is because they weren't around yet.
I saw a yellow. And the first McCain - Palin sign, like, ever.

9. I is for instruments you play: Guitar, sorta.
10. J is for favorite juice: Cran-raspberry. Pomegranate is also yummy.
11. K is for whose butt you'd like to kick: Gechmir, for putting my AIM addy
12. L is for last place you ate: At home. I made chili.
13. M is for marriage: I hate weddings. They are so boring. Make them fun by playing Marche au Supplice by Hector Berlioz when whomever is less of an assbutt approaches the altar.

15. O is for overnight hospital stays: I spent a long time in the hospital when I was born.

17. Q is for quote: It's astonishing how much trouble one can get oneself into, if one works at it. And astonishing how much trouble one can get oneself out of, if one simply assumes that everything will, somehow or other, work out for the best.
