10,000 Clamps
Jan. 11th, 2012 08:35 pmThat's a misread song title. The actual song was 10,000 Claps or something, but I think 10,000 Clamps sounds better. They're heavily outclamped. It will be clamp this, clamp that, bada climp bada clamp!
Sometimes the warmth is disappointing. I think "it's 62°F outside, winter's fucking over, wait a minute, we're not even two weeks in January."
They finally played The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson on Fox Boston. Hm. I once said they'll have a marathon of that episode once they're no longer able to play anything else. Maybe we've finally reached that point.
Gallop was standing up again and Penelope was being calmer than usual, probably because I offered her some bribes.
I know this is what you're here for.
Best of 2011 mix, sadly, lacking Loquat and Airiel (because the albums aren't going to be out until Spring)

And here's the tracklist. Not the most flowing mix, but that's what happens when you make a mix based around a year and not around a concept. Just like last year, there's only one song per band, otherwise, we'd have an All 6LA8 Mix CD.
1. Epic45 - With Our Backs To The City
2. Odessa Chen - Deer Perspectives
3. Wo0 - Past Echoes
4. Fennesz - Liminal
5. Spamtron - Time's Scar.
6. School of Seven Bells - Midnight Sun
7. Parachute Pulse - Hidden Powers
8. Radiohead - Lotus Flower
9. 6LA8 - Eighteen Songs of a Nomad Flute
10. Toll Crane - You Make Me Wonder
11. //orangenoise - Veradicine
12. Mole - One Up
13. A Slow In Dance - Another Crack On My Window
14. Miaou - Up and the Sky
15. We Save Strawberries - 梦幻安东尼
16. The Pains of Being Pure At Heart - My Terrible Friend
17. Dengue Fever - Family Business
18. Debo Band - belomi benna
It's more international than last year, I also had a more-or-less complete tracklist back in October, instead of rushing out to find new songs to fit on the mix, posting it, and then finding out a few months later that Happy Avenue released something. I know that will happen again.
Someone needs to remix the Nyancat theme in the style of Kill The Frog (Frog Must Die), replacing every instance of frog with cat.
Burning Question: Does Congress have anything better to do than to defund a Palestinian Sesame Street?
