I was going to post earlier but then botnets and quasi-dicators who are tech-savvy who should be those geezers who think that computers have little magicians making pictures inside happened. Dish Nation is still around. Le sigh. I was maybe going to post this when it was raining a few weeks ago: I lost power, my first thought and attempted to draw by flashlight (since cones just aren't good enough for darkness, it was just pencil outlines), an hour later, power comes back on and I'm thinking "WHERE THE FUCK IS MY SOCK?"

Supposedly a car crashed into a telephone pole but that's not true. It's all a ploy by the Sock Eater.

Best of 2012 mix. Subject to marginal change in 6 months and great change in two years, and maybe even greater change in five years. Sorry the last week wasn't that interesting.

I divided it into inequal parts of "upbeat twee," "ambientish/noisy/post-rock" and "too quirky or strange to categorize." I tried to make it fit on a single CD because it's tradition, but it didn't quite come to that. No mix is complete without a Mega Man tribute.

It's been far too long.
In my absence, the old bearded dragon retired from being an educational animal and we got a new one. Males have brighter colors. That makes sense. Their beards also turn black when they're in an aggressive mode. I didn't know that and when Christina pointed it out, I thought it was sunburn. Or lamp-burn as the case may be.

Hedgehogs really do roll up into a ball. And they're not rodents, they're hedgehogs. They're related to moonrats. Porcupines are rodents. Urchin is an archaic word for hedgehog. Sea urchins, however, are echinoderms. More specifically, they're echinoids. Hedgehogs have keratin spines, sea urchins' spines are calcite.

There was also a mute swan that someone thought was a tundra swan. I thought about brining my camera but didn't bother because I'm sure if they had a snowy owl, the website or twitter would be like "HEY, THERE'S A SNOWY OWL HERE! IT'S A SNOWY OWL!"

I don't know… I think I prefer Fla Vor Ice when they're Fla Vor Li Quid.
Also, the flavors weren't listed. I'm assuming pale yellow is banana and yellow is lemon and blue is blue (really, they don't taste like any existing fruits, they just taste like blue) and pink is that failure to create an accurate strawberry flavor but it's a good kind of failure (people will be discussing this far in the future according to me) that may or may not taste like the way the white pulpy stuff in a pomegranate should taste and purple is hyper-refined grape essence.

I'm glad someone reviewed Time Changer and I'm so glad that someone was a pot-smoking foul-mouthed bunny puppet. See, here's the problem: as bad as things like this are, only the niche will know about it and we all know evangelicals and furries and white nationalists don't give a hoot about quality. That's why A Throne of Bones is getting rave reviews on Amazon, because the only people reading the fucking thing are regulars on Vox Popoli and or World Net Daily.
