I was going to ask if the name Sapir was Hebrew or Indic but she kind of answered that for me when she said she kept kosher and therefore couldn't eat the "slop" that Primrose made. I think it was American Chop Suey. which is noodles and hamburger.
Sapir was talking about how even though you can't mix meat and milk when keeping kosher, that doesn't apply to seafood. I was reminded of someone on Ilxor's chocolate cheese tilapia casserole. Leigh Exodus made tilapia, baked in lemon, oregano, and olive oil, then in red wine with a chopped tomato, onion, and spring onion garnish. Cockles, cooked in red wine sauce. Add some fresh crab. Then Leigh Exodus drizzled everything with a sauce made by putting an entire box of Thorton's luxury chocolates into a saucepan and adding an entire wheel of pungent, ripe camembert, melting it over a low heat while adding quite a lot of cognac in the process. A moment of sanity was not involving tinned artichokes. I don't think anyone can top that, and the unspeakable concoction that Ethan, Aaron, and I made was already ruined before we started throwing everything we could find in there.
My worst culinary disasters were a) the time I tried to put barbecue sauce in chili which wasn't as good as it sounded and b) the time a recipe for a pressure-cooked chicken dish called for brown sugar and I used some kind of seafood seasoning, which actually wasn't that bad because it mostly deposited on the bottom of the cooker. Anna, Sapir, and Kelsey were talking about culinary failures but I can't remember them.

Sapir has power saving mode activated, which gives her six apps and it's like a phone for old people. None of us knew how to find words on a page we were already on. Anna remembers the paperclip but always changed it to the wizard because it was more fun.

Sapir's grandfather grew hot peppers and ate one every day.

The chimney swifts were sent to a rehabber a while ago, before Kelsey and probably Sapir showed up. The former told me that she was only here for a few days and as for the latter, it was closed on Labor Day and the day before and somebody helpfully updated their Facebook page with that information, which makes me think that maybe we are the spacetime anomaly. We have four raccoons left who are scheduled to be released either this week or next, we have a few geese and a bunch of zip-tied turtles and a fox with horrible mange that may or may not be the one Holly and Mallory told me about.
Sapir is biased against foxes because they're always eating her chickens.
Len figured out how to escape the enclosure so we have them in the flight cage. Their eating of all the plant life in there is just a happy side effect.

Do not trust unsigned notes written on napkins. We aren't that pathetic.

burning question: No rest for the weary or the wicked, eh?
