not to mention jack
Oct. 2nd, 2017 08:17 pmThe first thing that happened when I got there is Sapir asked me to cut up some fruit for squirrel weaning plates. We didn't have any berries and I gave them plantains instead of bananas because all the bananas were black and I didn't even realize the few decent ones were actually plantains and that's not the point. The point is I'm making weaning plates for squirrels when it's October. Also, the point is that plantain skins are harder to take off than banana peels. I cut myself under the fingernails peeling that shit.
Britney, from a few years back, was there with her turtle Bowser, not be confused with her turtle Koopa, as she got this one before I met her. Bowser is a painted turtle. She's working at the zoo now, where there's a giganterous spur-thighed tortoise that doesn't like to leave his home even when they want him out for demonstrations and stuff.
Jen and Sapir were both eating dolmas, which Sapir got at a Greek store, which is great because Trader Joe's discontinued the dolmas years ago. I haven't been there in over a year but I've heard they discontinued the muhammara and the sambal. Jen said that yesterday was World Vegetarian Day and she didn't even realize and Sapir asked just what kind of vegetarian she was.
Michael was trying to assemble a Cooper's hawk skeleton but it seems to be incomplete and it seems like someone tossed a few guinea pigs for the dermestid beetles to devour.
Rachel was there to film a documentary. I asked her if she was really filming me making seagull cuisine, focusing on the cuisine, and she says that sometimes she films things and doesn't really know why. She's traveled the US and a few Caribbean islands and if it makes me feel any better, she spent most of that time working. She is amazed by the age (I've had it for 8 years) and condition (it's pretty good, actually. There's some stuff that apparently quantum-tunneled through the glass and a few scratches but other than that, no cracks or anything) of my ipod.
A masked booby ended up in Wellfleet. The facility on the cape is closer to the ocean and has the facilities for seabirds so that's why there are so many there and so few here.
Primrose hypothesized that people look like their dogs. Ziggy and Zack look alike and when Waffle is unshaved, he looks kind of like Jack.
burning question: What are these people hunting with fully automatic weapons, anyway? Tyrannosaurs? Deinonychus? Are they going back in time to hunt dinosaurs and accidentally squashed a butterfly and that's why we have Trump in office? Michael says maybe if they piss off a pack of wolves or an elephant.
