Recently, I once said that the three things we always have are gulls, waterfowl, and raptors. This time, we had all three things at once. Also, turtles, but we don't feed turtles every day.

Sapir gave Spyro a pepper hat.

All Emily wants for Christmas is to be able to do something properly. I don't know if she sang it properly because I don't know. I spent last December listening to the Shining soundtrack because it was too cold to be in the Christmas spirit and the year before, I listened to Carmina Burana out of spite. This year, I'm probably going to listen to a lot of Tori Amos.

They discovered a new species of orangutan in Sumatra. We knew about them for 20 years but didn't identify them as a distinct subspecies. Male orangutans have facial hair that make 19th century officers jealous. "Join the club," Emily says, because they're critically endangered.
Old world monkeys and apes tend to carry some dangerous diseases. Take herpes. Simian herpes doesn't just give you a sore, it causes severe encephalitis. There was this guy in philly and they thought he was having a drug overdose and it turned out he was a researcher with apes and an ape spat on him, and he was wearing gloves and a face mask and everything.
Emily's "crossing that one off the list."

The peregrine falcon died. In his stead, we have a white-winged scoter (Primrose had a heated debate on what kind of scoter he/she is; probably she because males are more distinctive) and a screech owl. Either we're going to do a necropsy and find out what happened or someone else is going to. Emily said that it came back to life and escaped the freezer. What the hell are "gusto paths," autocorrect? I think I meant to write histopaths.

Wait a minute.
This was posted on the Facebook page at approximately 5 PM on November 8, 2017. This indicates that a) Jack didn't get the memo, which is very, very likely, b) we have another peregrine falcon, which is entirely possible, or c) this is much like one of many many Are You Afraid of the Dark episodes in which someone was able to alter the present by merging with the ghost of the peregrine falcon.

Goats have internal combustion engines and horses are designed to break and don't get winter coats the way wild horses like Przewalski's horse does.

There are things I want Ashley to weigh in on but I think it's more likely that the peregrine falcon came back to life.
Prison Planet and Shadowdancer Duskstar are at it again. I think they buy into their own rumors because they desperately want them to be true and drumming up outrage is just a happy side effect.
I'm pretty sure the face of atheism is "Christianity is integral to western civilization so we need to prop them up as much as possible."

burning question: white supremacists can make meth, how hard can it be for them to make bombs?
