Another King's Quest V design flaw.
Apr. 13th, 2008 10:46 amHere's how it goes. There's a patch because for some weird reason, King's Quest V won't play if the date on the computer is set after September 17, 1993. At least, that's what the instructions say. Not like it works anyway. It refreshes the screen a lot because it has to run in 256 colors, and each freaking frame causes the palette to change.
I forgot this: Laurie says that the lizard gets jealous of the bus because it gets all the drugs and can transform into an octopus and grow wings (but not at the same time)
Lesson Learned: There's a more succint word for something that differs from the usual kind of joke in the vast gulf between it and anything approaching funny: Lulz.
Burning Question: Why would a game not work after a certain date?
