This happened on Wednesday.

The sequel to the Museum of Bad Art opened. They have this painting of a juggling dog in a hula skirt, which is even more intricate and gaudy up close. And there are other things.

The director of the museum says (paraphrased): Mass-produced stuff is not Bad Art, it's just bad. Bad Art is setting out to create something and having it go horribly wrong.

from a conversation with a street musician in Davis Square and two people who were also around and petting his dog
Music therapy is the newest thing (said by the musician, on the two other people). I didn't know about it
I wish I had some of the stuff I found in a desk at high school. See, one of the classrooms I was in had occasional use for saturday detention and in-school suspension, so bored students drew the following:
A big, musculular centaur wearing sneakers, smoking a joint and being sworded by an angry potato-headed guy.
The Saturday Detention Shark Man dragging a person with no joints (in both ways. It's not a metaphor, it's because this guy is as skilled at drawing as Rivoli Revue is in music, but if it was in Somerville right now instead of who the hell knows where in... you'd love to know THAT, wouldn't you? you bet they would say the fact that the guy is an invertibrate is a metaphor for how he has no drugs) by the hair.
A guy smiling about pot.

There was also a giant cardboard butterfly, but I didn't take that. I knew the person who made that, and she should be vomited on by Elizabeth Fraser.

Just to let you know, I'm on the final dungeon of Secret of Mana. Then, it begins.

Lesson Learned: The person who started a Bad Fanfiction contest can learn something from the MoBA. You don't create bad fanfiction by trying to be bad, you create a half-assed parody that isn't really funny. The best way to create bad fiction is to tell a bunch of horrible writers to create something.
Burning Question: Is Sword of Truth actually a clever satire?
