Sometimes I wish I had a dream library
Oct. 27th, 2008 12:06 pmIt should have a collection of mp3s as well so I can listen to the songs I dreamt.
I had a dream last night that didn't have songs but it was vivid and I was walking on a highway towards a city after the bombs fell. Or something like that. I also had some kind of cart with a rocket engine attached to it.
I found this. Horray! Someone's adequate.
What was the last book you bought?
Elric: To Rescue Tanelorn by Michael Moorcock
Name a book you have read MORE than once.
I reread a lot. Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
Has a book ever fundamentally changed the way you see life? If yes, what was it?
If one did, I can't really remember what it is.
How do you choose a book? (eg. by cover design and summary, recommendations or reviews)
Sometimes by looking at the summary, sometimes by similar books in a review of something I've read. Heh, that's the only reason I read reviews.
Do you prefer Fiction or Non-Fiction?
Fiction.
What’s more important in a novel - beautiful writing or a gripping plot?
Writing. But a balance is important.
Most loved/memorable character (character/book).
Delirium - Brief Lives
Which book or books can be found on your nightstand at the moment?
There's a pile of them.
What was the last book you’ve read, and when was it?
The Cult of Loving Kindness by Paul Park, a week ago.
Have you ever given up on a book half way in?
Yeah, a couple of times. I didn't like The Mote in God's Eye much. And I somehow managed to finish Lucifer's Hammer. I guess the politics didn't bother me that much.
That's it.
