To those of you who are offended by Xmas, you know who you are, please watch Futurama.
I watched WALL-E, even if I did miss a bit of dialogue due to my five year old cousin (my oldest cousin is 21 years older than I am, and my youngest cousin is 21 years younger than I am - on different sides of the family, of course). The animation was incredible, especially on Earth, and I noticed the 2001 references.
SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!
Someone asked "how do they reproduce if they can't even walk?" I thought about this: They must have some sperm and eggs in cold storage somewhere. But then I realized that the photographs of the captain goes from being an actual photograph of a person and gradually become fatter, atrophied, and more computer generated. I guess the robots harvest sperm and eggs.
My aunt brought her doggies!
Overheard: "You don't know that. Moses was my home boy." - my (sixteen year old) cousin.
On Xmas music: I only need one version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town: the one by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. I do like the Xmas music from the Renaissance and Medieval periods. There's some wonderful stuff by the Boston Camerata.
Burning Question: If there was conclusive proof that there were intelligent life forms outside of this solar system, how would that impact the major religions?
