Of Terrors and Wonders, a retrospective

yamamanamaI remember this day 8 years ago. No, this isn't a backlog. There was this clool art exhibit, part of what what got me writing a few months after - keeping a dream journal helped too. And "if this shit can be published, my work should be too" before realizing that some of the worst stuff that wasn't self-published is by people who were already established bestselling authors and could get away with a book where nothing happened or being a neo-conservative prick.
I think I'm losing my ability to distinguish between a bad Simpsons episode and an overplayed one. Tonight, not so bad (I think I missed it in August or something). Last night, that one about revenge AGAIN.
Here's my take on someone's take on the MTV awards fiasco (does anyone watch this? Does anyone give a shit about it aside from those people who want any flimsy excuse they can get their hands on to hate anyone who isn't a straight white southern protestant?): No, I don't care what happened. Viacom pulled the DMCA on the video and I don't give enough of a crap to Not liking country music isn't anti-white and country isn't the Real America, whatever the hell that means, dumbass. Last time I checked, country isn't popular at all in Romania, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Poland or Russia, (1) and last time I checked, they're "white" (you know I don't believe in race), but again, I'm not Pat Buchanan. Pat Buchanan doesn't care about Slavic people. Just ask him his thoughts on World War II (2) if you don't believe me.
(1) I've heard someone call Portuguese people Asian, but when you're home schooled and working under the assumption that -ese makes anyone Asian, like with Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese... Milanese...
(2) His ideal world is the British Empire, the Third Reich, and the East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. Pah, I'd rather live on Io and eat nothing but lutefisk. Assuming that does happen. If Britain couldn't afford to hold on to their empire even in victory, what makes anyone think Germany can?
