yamamanamaDecember 10: E Pluribus Wiggum again? I'm getting sick of this... missed it the day before because I had to replace my keyboard; don't think I missed much, fucking Fox Nation. I think the last time they played a classic-era episode was late June, aside from the usual halloween episode in Halloween... but not Thanksgiving for some reason. X-mas, probably. I hate Fox and everything they stand for. *stabs Basil Brush several times* This is for the Romany, you no-talent foxy orange arse-bandit!
December 11: I discovered a way to play Beyond Zork... sort of. Actually, I was really frustrated with it, since the minimap is screwy ascii art, and command-S does not make a save, it makes a transcript.
December 12: I think all this vintage gaming is giving me middle school related dreams.
Minxes are awesome, and if it were possible to syncrete a koala, a cat, and a piglet to get the most endearing qualities of each, that would be awesome, provided they don't end up with the loyalty of a cat with the cleanliness of a pig and the asshole personality of the koala.
I'd ask Fiona, but then I remember the conversation about twins and about how Fiona thinks she can make up whatever words she wants to, and I don't think I'm using this word properly anyway.
December 13: The Macintosh Garden has Obsidian. That's good. I can't get past the part where the game asks for disc 2 with two of three attempts at a solution (Solution the first: trick Obsidian into thinking a random .dmg file is OBSIDIAN2, solution the second: making a disc that's a copy of the first one, solution the third and unattempted: making a disc called OBSIDIAN2, changing the name of Obsidian Data 2 to Obsidian Data 3, because apparently it was compressed into one file to save space) failing. That's bad. This thing was made with toast. Blank stare. That's bad. Maybe, since Fallout 2 was also toast-related but worked fine. Probably cheaper to find a used copy of Obsidian anyway. However, I can read the files to my heart's content and discover the secrets of Facebook's sorting algorithm. That's good. Charismatic. Methylene. Studies in understanding time through motion analysis. Some things aren't proper. Letters that aren't I, a, or u and y if you're leet, are not proper words and thusly get sorted to the back.
Maybe someone will come here and find this and tell me the solution. Just check your socks for bugs first. That's how they get you.
December 14: Up until 1:30 in the morning listening to Prince Igor and being sort of giddy because I contacted a friend I haven't talked to in years. Then I couldn't sleep because I felt overheated. That's weird, I mean, it's cold out.
It kind of stopped, though.
Burning Question (King's Quest VI related): Why would something with a cow's head eat meat? Because they won't give him any pudding unless he does? It is kind of ridiculous to question the logic of a land of horrible puns and Polish people who lord over a faux-Arabic culture... probably because they saw the name Casimir somewhere and thought it was Arabic.
