Red Hot Chili Peppers - This Velvet Glove - I put off buying this album by yearsbecause Scar Tissue wore out its welcome because WAAF played it at least once every hour every day of my freshman year of high school. Then one day I heard Californication (the song, I mean) and it was a welcome change from Scar Tissue. And I bought the album. And I’m glad I did.
System of a Down - Aerials

Must - Freechild, a pretty cool song by a band that really could have picked a better name. It sounds like Mesh. It sounds like Mest. It doesn't come up on google searches, but you can look up Androgynous Jesus or something. And you can look it up on Youtube unlike Earshot and FILTER. Speaking of Filter
Filter - You Walk Away - I liked half of this album, found the other half meh.
Radiohead - Airbag - I knew about Creep for a while because according to WAAF it was the only Radiohead song that existed but then the guy who taught the mural painting class brought it in.
1700 Miles - Midnight 2000 - i can’t help but think I discovered this song in late summer.
(also, it’s a lie to say I listened to this a lot because my mp3 player threw a conniption whenever I tried to listen to it. At best, I’d have to force quit RealPlayer. At worst, I’d have to restart my computer.
(Fun fact: I searched for the band name and one of their songs and got this from someone's Amazon wishlist: "The ocean is 1700 miles deep, with no solid ground anywhere." This intrigued me. I think the story is by Hal Clement.)
Infinity Minus One - At The Doorway Of Existence - but it’s hard to glean from my writings
Dark Flowered Music - Slugio - only that I associate THAT song with THAT dream or I associate it with a particular place even though I know that I could only listen at home because smartphones were but science fiction and maybe mp3 cd players existed but I didn't have a cd burner yet.
Living Syndication - Thirteen Minutes
Thermal and a Quarter - King Simple
Filter - The 4th
Anticlockwise - Walk On By
The Force That Through The Green Fuse Drives The Flower - Fairytales
Actual Edge - Black Road
Final Fantasy X - Hurry
Anathema - A Dying Wish
Sol 3- Twilite of the Gods
Lacuna Coil - Heaven’s A Lie
Larry Carlson - Star 2 Star - I heard about this guy from Gamefaqs of all places.
Radiohead - The Tourist

Dust For Life, Audiovent, and other forgotten post-grunge bands, most from Florida and California! Unlike Pete, they're forgotten for reasons other than their name. If you want to listen, listen at your own risk.

Looking on some discs revealed that I have listened to Sigur Ros before Rich gave me some of their stuff and Tara got me into them. Flugufrelsarinn and one of the untitled songs. I couldn't tell you which one, damn 8 character limit for my CD player.

Also, Eugene Terreblanche is fucking dead. Hacked to death, apparently. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving person (1) and I can't say he shouldn't see that coming, after all, "don't preach white supremacy (2) in Africa" is up there with "don't touch dead animals" and "don't taunt the lions by waving your genitals in their faces while shouting 'come see the REAL eye of the tiger, bitches!'" Anyone who thought "Eugene Terreblanche" when I wrote that entry about Jesse Helms dying can have a cookie, although I know you're lying. I'd hope they don't make him into a martyr, but a glance at various blogs and the judenrat at JTF tell me my wishes will go unanswered.

(1) Although a part of me is hoping Larry Niven or Jerry Pournelle or John Ringo or any of those other prolific writers who wrote a bestseller a long time ago and take up too much space on bookshelves will die soon, or at least stop writing.
(2) Someone asked about suprematism in Africa. Sure. Go paint a black square on something. Nobody's going to stop you. Endut. Hoch hech.

Burning Question: Do the Mormons REALLY think they'll convert anyone using proto-l33t? If they're going to use letters like u and r for words like you and are, they should go all the way and replace all the vowels with numbers.
