I've actually reached one of those points where I have a higher ratio of good burning questions to entries. I'm probably going to save them for a point at which I have entry content but no burning questions to go with them.

That's not to say I don't have things to talk about, I just don't want to spread them out for the next nine entries just so every bit of journal content gets a related, semi-related, or uttermostly unrelated burning question to go with it. I just don't have wildlife center things to talk about, except for this: one of the tortoises was walking around with a stool-chair thing on his back. He's pretty strong, he has to lug around his shell, after all. There are tortoises in the Seychelles that reach maybe 300 kg.

I was planning a SOPA-related entry which was just a lot of black bars with a few pronouns and conjunctions here and there, but no. I have this to actually say on it: One: The Wikipeda Blackout has taught me this: SOPA wouldn't so much mean a world without information as it would mean a world where the information is out there but annoyingly difficult to access. Two: Even the far right of the blogosphere think it's a bad thing. I agree with them but I don't agree with them, if that makes sense. SOPA is bad, but SOPA won't be used to suppress most of the blogosphere for being against anyone who isn't a non Muslim white or Asian, and anyone who thinks it will is deluded. Three: I see this the other way, shitty Harry Potter fanfiction of the worst kind is the price we pay for writing things that might offend.

And, oh, yeah, I finally updated my Deviantart.
One piece of art and one piece of anti-art. As of the time I posted this, they both have 12 views, which is sadly impressive.
I'd do something else since I have white pens and gold pens and a printer that works enough to print out a picture of an oarfish (preferable, but difficult) or a seahorse (easier), but I can't find my watercolor set.

And next time I post in the literary critique thread, I, inspired by M. John Harrison, will say this: If you're stuck in the golden age and need every bit of future technology explained to you, using horribly trite dialogue and pointless infodumps if necessary, don't read this. If you can't read more than two paragraphs before you give up, don't read this. If you think every sentence, every character, and every plot point should directly relate to the theme, don't read this.

burning question: A corollary to an earlier question about the most beautiful names in all the worlds (my answer to that one was Ava, if you're wondering), what's the ugliest name? I say Yael.
