Good thing snow didn't ruin this for me. In fact, I think we lost more snow already there due to the rains. Fuck, if I lost power again, I'd find Punxsutawney Phil and feed him to the next raptor that comes into the Wildlife Center.

I also promised to paint something within the next seven days. I don't know if I'll get a clear day to photograph it within those seven days. I'm not sure increasing the brightness would look good.

Even Wikipedia is negative towards Dish Nation. Entertainment is in quotes and it attempts to satirize pop culture. It's also around until September, alas.

I seem to never have my camera with me when owls are around.
See, I had just enough battery life left to take pictures of things somebody, possibly Danimal, left in my sketchbooks. You'll see those in a few days, I promise you that. I decide it's not worth looking for batteries, and say 'fuck it, I'll post it later because I need to post more entries, after all, there are people out there with ten thousand entries even if eight thousand of their entries are just reposts from Atlas Shrugs and Jihad Watch and other far right-wing blogs', and lo and behold, there's a saw-whet owl and a screech owl at the wildlife center.

Otherwise, a chinchilla got neutered and a loon drowned in enrichment and a swan's deformities killed it, and somebody shot an opossum and there's an argument on Facebook about it, and that's about it. I was only present for the first of those events. Alyssa says part of it looks like a brain.

Oh, and one of us brought up the Oscars. I didn't watch the Oscars, not only haven't seen any movies from 2012, but thought Cabin in the Woods and the Hunger Games came out long before, and right before the Simpsons/Oscars started, I lost to the Yeti in Resonance of Fate a bunch of times, so I looked up ways to defeat him and was anxious to put said methods to use.

Okay, so, this guy did a study in which he put a rubber turtle on the side of the road and people were actually swerving out of their way to hit it. Turtle. I can't imagine something more innocuous. I could comprehend their actions if it was a rubber snake, even if I do find them abhorrent.

burning question: do you ever hear someone's voice for so long you start reading other things in their voice?
