The osprey made it, hurrah. And I got all the pictures I promised myself I'd take and even a few I couldn't promise. I realized my camera has video capability, but I don't know anything about it. I'd try, but nobody was particularly animated today, except for the goslings, and the room was too dark to even get a good picture.

Mixing rust powder and watercolors didn't work as well as I thought it would. Basically, it was just covered with rust powder and I just brushed it off.
The picture came out pretty good otherwise
I feel like Deviantart made it even harder to get views and favorites. Maybe it's just me.

He seems scarcely bigger than when we brought him.

Here's a drawing of him getting light.

This is a female mallard. Or maybe one who hasn't acquired his colorful plumage.

It has a very phallic nose.

This turkey was hanging around the back parking lot.
I think it's a male, due to the wattle, but I'm not sure. He wasn't a patient.

Baby bird.

Goslings. Yes, I agree that baby animals are cute. But waterfowl and fowl and puppies and raccoons are cuter.

This is just awesome. Christina drew this.

And this.

And this.

And these were sitting around and I thought I'd take pictures of them. They're not mine. I'm pretty sure they were there when I started. I have no idea who drew them, but they are awesome. More awesome than my photographs of them are.

Imgur was being pissy about the owl picture and I have no idea why.

But not this.

NO.

I drew this. It's an osprey.

I have no idea who did it; it's way before my time according to the date, and I suck at remembering names so hard I thought my friend's name was Veasna. Her name is actually Chantel.

This is Nina eating chips. But which Nina? Because I seem to remember Nina having purple hair.

Nina painted this portrait of one of our vets. Let me tell you, I was so anxious to get there, hoping the painting was still up.

If you can't read faux-cyrillic, these are Lisa and … somebody. I've met Lisa. I think.

This is Terrance, not to be confused with Terry the Terrapin. He looks like an angry Oompa Loompa.

If it wasn't, I'd have busted out the box of Crayolas and drawn a rather inaccurate facsimile in which the arm would be in the wrong position, the shirt would be the wrong color, and Josh With A French Mustache would be nonexistent.

***

I failed in my mission. You must find another who will realize your ambitions. Nina forgot to take that CD home with her and none of us can remember the name of it. I swear I'd find her a copy if I knew the name. Something weird and exotic, she said. Yeah, that makes sense. So, I checked the Catbird Cafe and the store and no luck. On the bright side, I'd remember it if I saw the cover. Amazon is giving me a lot of Star Wars soundtracks and Final Fantasy soundtracks and I didn't know Barney was considered science fiction, but okay. I also didn't know VHS tapes were considered music, but I guess if they're singalong songs. Which "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Legend of Koji" and "Godzilla's Revenge" are emphatically not.

I'm wondering if somebody thought the same thing Nina did (1), which is to take the CD and listen to it because it sounds either awesomely horrible or horribly awesome.

Burning Question: And what are the odds of (1) happening?
