Do neither of you ever just sit and remember? Just think back on times gone? All the living things whose lives you've touched? All the planets and spaces and planes you've seen? All the forms you've taken? Just sit and think?
Destruction

If you're wondering, this was originally a half-assed retrospective after four years on a website I wasn't planning to spend much more time on due to multiple factors, mainly a change for the negative in its administration and moderation, my friends on the site jumping ship one after another, and a lengthy downtime that made me spend more time with real life friends instead.

On AIM I directly referenced Blade Runner but I'm not sure anybody got it.

When the site came back up, I was promptly banned. Oh well. It was probably because Chris and I had the idea to create an alternative to Gamingforce, not so much a kindler, gentler one, but a more cultured version, and since it wouldn't be so cliquish and closed, it would be able to attract new blood and then transmogrify into something else. The days before it happened, I thought I'd at least stay through the late spring/midsummer void, possibly until 2008 at the latest. Listen, everything blew up with Miyomi because I was banned, but even before, I was finding it more and more difficult to tolerate Miyomi, and it was especially hard because my, my, um, there's probably a word for it in some other language, but not in English, but it was tied to Miyomi's. Um, there's a lesson about piggybacking on others popularity in there. I tried and failed to ingratiate myself into Miyomi's circle of friends and the reason I failed is because Miyomi didn't want me to ingratiate with them, and that just made the whole situation with Ava Lilly that much more irritating.

Miyomi stopped commenting in my other journal back in October of 2006, and I think I know why. I'm sure it wasn't just because I had more pageviews than her. That has something to do with it, yes. Listen, she decided she'd chew me out for linking to X-Entertainment, which I thought was relevant, damn it.
The last few months of my friendship with Miyomi was pretty much "I know you're only using me for your own ends but at least you're talking to me."
Sometimes I wonder if she engineered my downfall.
It wasn't my proudest moment... no, Hyde, your tribute to your friend is still the most self-serving and insulting thing I've ever read.
And Miyomi then blamed Blue for turning him against me? No. That's not how it is at all. And yeah, I know that Blue was ambiguous, but we were both going for the same goal, we just had a radically different approach, and she wasn't naming names because she thought it would turn a bad situation into a worse one, not because she wanted me to distrust others.
And she's right, I guess, if it was Render or Hyde, I would have just dismissed the criticism.

In any case, had I not been banned, Miyomi would have remained passive-agressive instead of turning aggressive-aggressive, I'm guessing either the way the community turned on Blue and later Devo (I figured Miyomi would know, but she just gave some bullshit non-answers about me and continued to blame our circle of friends and not herself for the situation) and nothing about Devo although I like to believe that Devo grew out of the whole internet clique mentality) or (more likely) some incidents involving Amara and Bean.

Stuff on Tuesday that I was too disillusioned to write about: And, yes, I made a Trial of Flowers reference Wednesday too, in reference to getting stir-fry faster by riding giraffes and storming the line with lily petals (and Laurie's bubble wand idea). She found it funny. Up yours, Encephalon.

I told Laurie about the Brick Liberation Army's plan to storm someone's house, riding giraffes and throwing lily petals.

She said we should use bubble wands too. And bubble guns, and sticky frogs and bouncy balls and silly string.

She also said we could raid the Roger Williams Zoo, since they're disorganized. However, getting the giraffes to Canada is a problem.

People are simultaneously more and less mature, I guess. More in that they don't flip out on anyone who makes Trial of Flowers references. Less in that they're willing to participate if we can get the giraffes.

I like when the flowers fall from the trees and it looks vaguely like snow.

I started reading Little, Big. It's every bit as good as the people on Barbelith said.

My stay on Gamingforce ended at Terranigma Chapter X. Further entries were planned, but were never carried out.
