Jun. 25th, 2015 10:36 pmFuck it.
My plan to pick up The Goblin Emperor as a fuck you to Vox, his stalking, his boycott, Peter Grant's boycott, John C. Wright's not-a-boycott boycott, and Shadowdancer Duskstar, has been delayed.
I promised to post some wildlife center photographs.
Most of the photos are mine, a few of them are from the Wildlife Center's official facebook page. They're all posted on imgur because apparently Facebook changed their image url format once again, which I totally saw coming, which is why I've been reuploading things to imgur instead of linking directly to Facebook. This means that some of the links I've collected, like "this might be the greatest thing ever put on a tree" and something that looks like blood and something Crystal of As The Sparrow drew are forever lost because I have no idea where I found them or even what they could be, but some things, like the baby owl I'm posting here, and inexplicably something Emma painted back in February, are still around.
I don't get it. Maybe Facebook is trying to prevent people from using their site as an image repository, despite the fact that they have more than enough bandwidth and processing whatever to handle it, but if that was the case, they could just use a No Hotlinking Allowed image.
I guess they can't go two weeks without changing something.

I believe this is a grackle

This obviously isn't mine; I didn't even know we had her.

these are the woodpeckers. If I had to guess, I'd say they're downy or pileated but I really can't tell.

This guy here is an northern water snake (Nerodia sipedon sipedon). You can see colorful bands. You know, red and black won't kill Jack, but red and yellow, you're dead, fellow.

I have no idea who did this but it's awesome.

these are some things that were drawn on the whiteboard:

I'm putting this stuff behind a spoiler tag because they're big. It's not my art, by the way, it's Brittney's. The paintings are awesome but the photographs suck. It was raining and she just happened to have them in the back seat of their car and I just happened to have my camera with me that day.

burning question: There's a country song about getting drunk on a plane. Does that mean country music has finally become officially a parody of itself?
