They were thawing out a bucket of salmon embedded in a mixture of ice and fish gunk.
And #gurpgork claimed the confederate flag because the confederacy was about ethics and free speech and they gave it a brand new eye-watering color scheme: neon green instead of red and purple instead of blue (1). They also switched green and purple but I don't recognize that one; the eye-watering scheme fits the movement more.
And the climate is changing to the point where the high is below 60 F at the end of June but yet it's warm everywhere else.
So I think I'm going to be sick.

So, the thing about Brookline Lunch is Emma worked there, and that's really why I ate there, but I didn't want to say anything because I don't want them to show up, unless Them involves giant space ants. She's not there any more, and I'm guessing this has something to do with her trip to Cyprus, which means that her schedule has probably changed, and that means no mural for the wildlife center and we're both very sorry. Well, I'm sorry about the whole thing. I think Emma's as charmingly oblivious as she usually is.
I know where she is but I'm not going to reveal that. I had a cunning plan but it's unrealistic.
This didn't come up in a conversation about the mural, I just had to tell her what I thought about Brookline Lunch. I very rarely have an excuse to be in Cambridge and when I do, it's probably to see an Atlas Lab concert.

I swear I told Zofia all these things when I told her what happened.
Zofia's father once said that when she plays the clarinet, it sounded like a dying duck. So I guess if Madison Rising needs a clarinetist, they know who to call.

Yoshi died, alas.

I thought Katie replaced Brittney the way Brittney replaced Emma, but that turned out to not be true.

I was saying that if Atlas Lab is anything like lovesliescrushing or July Skies, they'll release the ep once Blade Runner and Akira (2) are set in the past. I've been waiting for a new July Skies release since before I started working at the wildlife center.
Katie, by the way, has not seen Blade Runner but has been meaning to. I say the same thing about Metropolis. I should probably watch it before July 15. I should probably watch the 2001 anime Metropolis again as well.
She's not an artist, but she did play the church organ. She says there aren't many people capable of playing that and those who are are all 80 years old.
Also, it's not great for jamming because you can't move the thing, but you can record wherever there's an organ.
If Atlas Lab is ever in need of an organist, say, if they want to perform a cover version of Dancing Mad, they know who to call.
I wanted her to hear Mountain Song of the High Lands by Cold Fairyland, or maybe Love or Speechless in Forest, or The First Day: The Blessed Place, or really, anything else that brings the pipa to the forefront, but I couldn't find any videos.

I told her about these guys. If only I knew who they were. I can't tell what the thing the woman on the right is holding is but I think it's a nyckelharpa.

That's what I want from the future of music: non-standard instruments brought to the forefront.
It's been happening for a while, actually. Movietone features a clarinetist, for instance. Ghost uses a lot of different instruments.

I showed her Emma's art, I tried to show her Crystal's art, and I didn't bother to show her Erica's art. She thinks that Shadowdancer Duskstar's art is worthy of the Museum of Bad Art. Maybe not in the stairwells at the Wildlife Center, because they depict overly sexualized elves and poorly colored landscapes and not animals, but maybe the one in Somerville.
She wonders what it's like to live with synesthesia.

She worked at a zoo where they also had a Puff the Bearded Dragon.

The radio station I listened to a lot in high school hasn't changed their playlist since I graduated from high school. Ok, that's not true, they added some glam rock and the morning show no longer plays music.
I know Pandora and Spotify are things now but sometimes we want to hear things that aren't tailored to our tastes. Like with As The Sparrow and Jake Shimabukuro and Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band.

Here's a pipa solo by Liu Fang.
this is a sheng.
The erhu guy was at Central station last Friday.

I not only forgot this guy's name but forgot the name I was going to call him.
Let's call him Steve.
He says that people either are crazy about horses or they don't like horses, there's no in between.
And crazy about horses is right: They can turn any conversation into a conversation about horses. He was talking about the weather to a horse person and she was like "well, my horses don't," and he's like "when did I say ANYTHING about horses?"

Meanwhile, Katie cleaned the laundry room and she knows it will be filthy by the time she gets back.

The seahorse instrument reminds me of something Crystal would draw, the other painting is just really cool.

(1) during World War II, there was a collaborationist Malaysian group that used, as their flag, the result of Vivian James vomiting on a Turkish flag.
(2) I think Blade Runner is set after Akira.

burning question: So I know Love Day was meant to fill the holiday void from July through August, but can we declare June 26 to be officially Love Day anyway?
