2 days until the vernal equinox

My stance is to not ninja edit once someone leaves a comment. Here's a story about bowling shoes. Once Lisa was wearing bowling shoes to art class because she walked out of the alley wearing them. I asked her why she was wearing them and she said "because, that's why." That's it. I'm pretty sure she was friends with Allyson, Brooks, and Chelsea, which means they could very well be from that same alley. Or maybe Chelsea wasn't part of the group; I don't know. I lump them all together because of their jewelry. Chelsea had a glass seahorse pendant, Allyson had beads and a wax butterfly, Brooks wore a lot of silver and turquoise and rubber bands and had a brown crystal pendant and wore a white fake flower in her hair.
The funny thing is I can't remember what Lisa looked like.

And now back to modern times (Smarch 18, 2017 0:24 AM. Wish Ashley a happy birthday, by the way)

I could be like "Tonight, I dine on turtle soup!" with Salvadora and she's complete unfazed by it. So I can't really demonstrate the hinge on her shell anymore.

Breanna told about her friend Kityara who is an artist and dyes her hair unusual colors. She told me about the time red squirrels got in her house and under the furniture. She told me about how an opossum died in her chimney and stunk up the place and how someone had to come in and pull bits of decaying opossum out. She said that one of the collaborative drawings I did with Emma (I really must do this again one of these days) looked like something out of Alice In Wonderland and when I showed her The Lobster Quadrille, she told me about an assignment she had when they cut up photographs of body parts and rearranged them.

We were changing the water in the turtle pools and weighing them and there was a minnow in the snapping turtle's pool and he almost went down the drain. Snapping turtles eat once every week, if you're wondering.
We have a thing at the end of the hose that concentrates the spray and it shot off.
That minnow is the champion of all fish. It survived chlorinated water, it survived being in water with snapping turtles. We don't feed it but my guess is it dines on turtle poop.
TJ thinks it might be a lich so we'll have to find its phylactery or whatever it is we do with liches. I dunno, my knowledge of liches comes from Avernum, where they're really powerful skeletal mages and from Final Fantasy XII, where they are ironically on the lower end of ghost-type enemies created when people die with hatred in their hearts. Apparently, they're in Vagrant Story and will one-shot Ashley if you let them. It's also an archaic word meaning corpse and survives in the word lichgate.

The painted turtle was determined to get up on the crate and then out of the pool, even though he kept falling over.

We got the first baby raccoons and first baby squirrels of the season. The raccoons weigh about 100 grams and it's way earlier than we'd ordinarily take them. There's a story behind this. They're harder to take care of at this age. Jack says that one of these days, he'll take some pictures and post a writeup on the Facebook page no doubt rife with embellishment and inaccuracies. Despite the storm, we have no seabirds.

burning question: Why does that guy, even when he's quiet, make me uneasy?
