So it would actually turn out that her name is Darradh or maybe Darragh, I'm not sure which, pronounced Da-rah. Either way, it makes more sense than Varradh because the V sound in Irish orthography is a lenited m and it really wouldn't make sense to have a word be half in Irish orthography and half in an alternate orthography. It would be Mhiarradh or Bhiarradh. Uh, I think.

I finished Beneath The Shattered Moons, which I flipped a coin twice when deciding what to read upon finishing Radiance, and started Girl, Interrupted, which I did not decide based on a coin toss.

Lauren has the words Still Alive on her wrist which is not a reference to Portal but her grandfather's last words, a tattoo of the constellation Cancer with fireworks, as she was born on July 15. She met Kate on their birthday, or actually, Kate's birthday, July 14, but she let her have the tiara. She has a tree with silhoutted person on a swing and one of the ropes is words, a cloud of seeds blowing from a dandelion, the words "you can't take the sky from me," the X-Men logo and Nightwing's emblem and Ariel and a character of her creation, the spaceship Serenity, a dagron holding a blank sign so she can write anything she wants in henna or in magic marker, in today's case, Happy Comicon 2017. She has mesopelagic blue hair with hints of green and shaved something about GISHWHES, the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt The World Has Ever Seen, into it.
Her t-shirt says guns don't kill people, Joss Whedon kills people.
Kate has hair the color of a dry coral rose that used to be way brighter and a tattoo of a slice of pizza with an eyeball and a tattoo of a compass rose.

There was a guy wearing a Steins;Gate shirt with the word "SCIENCE!" and I really should finish that now that Greenfest is over and I have some downtime.

Emma is an architect, which is a kind of artistry. There is a tattoo on her wrist that is faint and is half crescent moon and half sun with triangle spikes.

Taylor was wearing a different hat than she was Friday but she doesn't actually collect hats. She has book earrings. She has a dolphin tattoo on her hand and I only just noticed that.

A woman had a kiwi pendant, a woman has orange-colored jellyfish tattoos, a woman has Terra Branford green hair.

There was a shih-tzu who looked exactly like what I'd expect a shih-tzu named Bandit to look like. She has black around her eyes to make her look like a professional criminal.

Jack and Katie are part of the band Jakals and were once part of the musical duo Jack & Katie. I didn't recognize them because I didn't actually hear them when they played at Make Music last year.

Belén is a Spanish name, not an indigenous one. It's a rendering of Bethlehem. Orlando is Italian for Roland. José is Joseph. Sintija is a Latvian rendering of Cynthia and a fairly recent creation. Belen is Argentine, grew up in Texas, and is studying music in Boston. They sang in Spanish and English.

The people in Jah Free-I are from all over the place. Lily and Harlan are from Boulder, Colorado, which I believe exists as a counterforce to Colorado Springs and Longmont, Chris is from Trinidad, Mailk is from Saint Lucia, and I believe Jackie is from somewhere in New Hampshire. Lily has dyed blonde hair and a circular pendant and tattoos of birds and flowers on her leg.
Chrycee is also from Saint Lucia. She has red and gold dreadlocks and calls herself a Beatuiful Dreamer. She sang with Jah Free-I and ended up drawn with Jack and Katie instead of the rest of Jah Free-I because there wasn't enough space for her.

Too Klez for Comfort is a klezmer band. With a name like that, I don't know how they could be anything else.

Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching band was there and they performed our old favorites Jaan Pechahan Ho and Mos Eisley.
One of them had a Batman patch on his vest. One of them had a hat with a feather in it, one of them had a bowler hats, the drummer had epaulets and his drum was filled with a flock of origami birds, one of them has fiery red hair, the violinist has bathypelagic blue hair. She says that the medal glows in the dark so it could be Cthulhu and not just an ordinary octopus. She has a butterfly pin and a violin belt buckle. It's hard to draw them on one page.

Benjamin Furman is a jazz pianist from Santiago, Chile and performed with Noam Israel on drums and a bassist whose name I can't remember.

Nicolás Emden is a guitarist from Osorno, Chile, which is in the southern half.

Greenfest ended with a Wompanoag ceremony, and he says that people often ask him what the words are he's singing and he says that he doesn't sing with words, he sings with sounds. It's like when Cab Calloway sings hidihidihidiho.

Drew has the same exact sketchbook I do. It's his legal name. His parents were just going to call him Drew anyway.

Some things did get screwed up. Maybe I just missed Himalayan Heritage Cultural Academy.
Part of me thinks there was an emphasis on musicians from Latin America and to a lesser extent Africa because of Trump's views and the rise of the alt-right, but part of me thinks they've always emphasized musicians from Latin America and Africa over Asia and Europe.
I got a passionfruit ice cream from SoCo Creamery. One of the people had pink hair.

Someone drew a flower, a heart, and a cupcake with a cherry on top on a pillar at Park Street.

Victoria likes to work with ceramics and had a conversation with the guy with a peacock's tail on one arm and a flock of birds on the other. She never got his name, though. Victoria's hair is half brunette, half-blonde. Sarah's friend wishes she could make art. They got off at the wrong station but at least they could just get back on the train.

There was an impromptu protest against the people who killed Heather Heyer and their enabler in the White House.

I've heard about an alt-right rally next week. Hopefully it's as pathetically tiny and as pathetically outside of Massachusetts people as it was the last time. To all my people, the dreamers, revolutionaries, eccentrics, artists, poets, musicians, actors: stay safe. I love you.

burning question: do alternative news sites not understand that more than one person can have a fairy common name like James Fields?
