59 days until the vernal equinox
I'm burnt out. Not because of the actual assaults because those really come at no surprise, but because of the reactions to them.
Also, someone, either one of the Hoydens or Hoyts or Hoydens, or some other dumbass on Pajamas Media, said that there should be an electoral college at the state level. This is how you get one-party states.

Emily didn't really have time to elaborate on French accent markings. She isn't especially fluent in French anyway.

Zac prefers to feed mice to animals because they're smaller and feel like less of an animal. Christina doesn't give skulls to them because they usually can't break through the bone but they can get all the tasty bits through the eyes or through the opening where the spinal cord goes in.

I found an interview with Sarah Palin about how she wanted conservatives to take back arts and culture and they asked her her favorite bands and musicians and it's the most whitebread "I only listen to music via radio" tastes possible. And somehow, she's still mored cultured than Donald Trump.
Michael thinks that Donald Trump listens to either the sound of children crying or to Ted Nugent. I said Charlie Daniels as well, because Charlie Daniels said the Illuminati is no joke, because I guess they were mentioned in a Taco Bell commercial.
He said that the last Taco Bell commercial he saw featured the dog, Colonel Sanders, and a random Pizza Hut delivery girl (I don't know why Pizza the Hutt isn't their mascot. I know, he looks like Steve Bannon and... oh, right.) fighting battle droids and stuff, and Colonel Sanders wielded a lightsaber.
I remember Pizza Head and Steve.

It's been six months and we can't really do anything else for MRSA Chinchilla. On the bright side, we released a hawk, I couldn't remember if it's sharp-shinned or broad-winged or red-shouldered, but against all odds, there's a facebook post about it so I don't have to remember things and lo and behold, it's a red-shouldered hawk, in Blue Hills. Or maybe it was underweight and we didn't. I don't know. I wasn't there when it happened. We transferred the two flying squirrels to winter with another rehabber.

Also, screech owl passed his flight test.

We got these two guys, a male (hooded?) merganser and a male white-winged scoter. You've seen mergansers here, if you've been here long enough, but they were female red-breasted mergansers.

We got a long-tailed duck, which are really cool looking and spend a lot of time up in the tundras but come down here to winter, and the only time they're on dry land is if they fall out of the sky, which this one did, of course, we had a shrew, which are very vicious and apparently cannibalistic, but it died.

burning question: which will be the next name to show up, out of the following: Ashley, Sam, Jessica, or yet another Emily? If you're reading this next Tuesday and already know (or don't because the people I meet have names like Sara and Antonella and Natalie), answer based on what you think will happen in the future, not what happened in the past.
