we love our rotting industrial dystopia
Jun. 16th, 2019 10:12 pmI thought since it was June that we’d have made the switch from organized storms to brief downpours at frontal boundaries. I thought wrong.
Gold Fame Citrus is too unrealistic to read. On the bright side, the pages make useful kindling if you're ever stranded in the wilderness and need to start a fire.
I'll probably sell it if I ever desperately need money.
I was expecting chunks of watermelon and radishes when I ordered the salad. What I got was greens with slices of young watermelon and radishes along with a heap of goat cheese topped with herbs but hey, that's cool too and it was pretty delicious. There was some kind of dressing too but I can’t seem to access the current menu. I also had crêpes with strawberries and whipped cream and what I think is brown sugar.
A woman had a tattoo of the sun with wavy spokes except for the ones tha pointed in the cardinal directions, which were straight, and on the other arm, a bearded lady with flowers in her hair. A woman wore boots with a colorful mosaic on them and a paisley skirt in dark crimson and bright teal. A woman wore a floral on black robe and had an eye pendant on a thick ribbon choker. There was a woman who reminded me of Yoshitaka Amano but fitting the room she was in, possibly Afro-Caribbean, in a black dress with square patterns in white and with a white lace headband and various colorfully enameled pendants.

oh hey, it’s a closeup of Avocado Man Saves Potato.
I noticed new things, like the Ocean with a happy crab and happy turtle. Well, she noticed the fire and was confused because the mandalas are about things that make them happy.
I thought of Beavis.
I like how one of them is a checkerboard but there are distortions so it looks like a raised sphere.
Her favorite thing is Be Your Best Monster and I've already posted that.
There is one with six volcanoes spewing lava in the colors of the rainbow and I thought of Arc of the Dream.
I got a better look at Gender Bending Fashion.

Fun fact, the horizontal bar wasn't on the sigil until the early modern era.
The Green Line had a power outage and I waited twenty minutes before learning that. Good thing Ruggles is nearby and the Orange Line was functional, if a bit crowded. Otherwise I’d have to take a Lyft and they were charging $120 because the difference between what is legal and what is moral only matters when it’s a cartoon rat getting married and no I am not over that. Also, JFK/UMass has a bathroom. Huzzah. And I met a six month old puppy on the way in and a small dog who was slightly afraid of getting on the train on the way out.
Aubrey has a tattoo on her wrist with someone’s name and a date on it, a tattoo that says I’ll Be There and a tattoo on her arm mostly obscured by her jacket that appears to be a face in a Roman style.
Sam has pants with stripes and suns and aum symbols.
I’d be surprised if Uber and Lyft were involved in sabotage because we haven’t quite reached peak cyberpunk dystopia and because they can just turn off the app in order to trick the system into thinking there are fewer drivers but I honestly wouldn’t put it above them.
I thought I was going crazy because I looked up Monkeytown Philharmonic and didn't find shit. Then I watched part of that episode and realized that it's Google going crazy.
burning question: why isn’t the Church of the Divine Lucre in Avernum? Did they appear recently, under Prazac’s reign? Were they savvy enough to not gouge Empire officials or dervishes?
