dark hours
Nov. 28th, 2019 06:41 pmSomeone is setting off fireworks nearby and I have no idea why.
The cats like turkey. Muffin, being deaf in her old age, is no longer afraid of us, while Snowy knows no fear, only rage.
Once, long ago, Lou’s brother found a safe in the Charles river. Thy opened it up and found naught but dirty water. He compared it to Geraldo opening up Al Capone's vault.
Sam said she’s a professional overeater. Both Sam and Emily like to mix up their food, while I’m the opposite and don’t like things touching. Sam made a crescent moon with a cool gradient.
Lauren also thought that axolomeh would be tiny.
We played Apples to Apples, a Star Wars trivia game with surprisingly hard questions (which tower with a power regulator did Lando tell Wedge to aim at: north, south, east, or west?), and Candyland, with Emily drawing cards in Sam’s absence. We were going to play Cards Against Humanity but Sam didn’t have it with her.
So I found out that you can get rabies in Oregon Trail II and the options aren't "rub garlic on the wound," "leave them behind to die alone," or "put them out of their misery," they are the standard continue, rest, slow down, or increase rations, along with laudanum, magnesia, or epsom salts. Actually, all the diseases involve administering laudanum, exceot for snakebite, which is the absolute worst thing to do in the case of a snakebite. I feel like there's usually a correct option although I'm not sure what that is for snakebite, a few options that don't do anything, like administering Smeckler's powder, and an option that just makes things worse, like giving a snakebite victim lots of exercise.
accidentalrenaissance is a real thing. I’d never have thunk it. Sam needed Emily and Lauren to help pour a drink.
burning question: “you think people smiled in renaissance paintings?” Sam asks. Emily responded with “Mona Lisa had that half smile.”
