Springfest was yesterday, or probably two days ago, depending on how long it takes me to make this writeup.
Forums, people. Join them. We have a cooler name than Serious Busineess, ok?
I posted on two people with Gamingforce in their interests and one with Viriconium in hers. Go on, have an orange freeze and some chicken and telephone ice cream at the Bistro Californium. Funeral's over. Time to move on. Time to grow up.
We now have YouTube tags and spoiler tags and parts of my story and other wonderful things.
Anyway, Springfest.
Second time it rained on Springfest, even though there was an almost perfect day before that. Almost as a function of the heat being on in Quantum. It's like what Charlie Brown says, except with "springfest" instead of "the unloved."
Not as much excitement as last year. Immelman didn't kiss anything. Not that I saw, anyway. He was around, though. And I got some CDs, but haven't listened to them. One of them is called Monsters and Silly Songs. I also checked out Sappington, Coastal, and Pale Saints. Someone compared them to Lush, but I think they sound more like House of Love.
Band names, bay-bee, mixing together whimsical, semi-serious, and serious. So, tell me, what would they play?
Botanical Problems (psychedelia)
Puffy Cookie Things
Silver Thorns (drone/post-rock)
Californium Creme Egg
The Tunguska Effect (drone)
Anthrax Donuts
Low-Flying Stress Balls
canwehaveapooldad?
The So-Called Assembly
Relatively Normal By McDonalds Standards
Intertwine Gracefully (Poppish Shoegaze)
Lost Waters (Shoegaze/Post-rock)
Half Assed Pizza
The Violet Hour (A reference to T.S. Eliot)
The Moon is Falling (dream-music, since the name is a reference to a dream I had. I'm sure they'd have a song called The Binding Equations of the Spacetime Geometries are Broken and Altered)
Vesica Piscis
Shadow Unfurls
The AT-AT Says Moo
Blue Young Stars
A Normal, Unpleasant Tasting, Mildly Hallucinogenic Mushroom
Kfuga Lily
Even The Japanese Can Spell Lily
Icy Iridescence (Something like Frozen Forest by Elf Fatima, only more twinkly)
Foul Breast (an Engrish menu item)
Burst Into Cold Radiance (or perhaps, this is a better song title?)
Viscera (Grindcore)
Wander Beneath Luna
Lead, Onyx, Sapphire (dream-pop/drone/shoegaze)
Asia Hangs From The Sky
Viridian Dance
Spacecapsules
Great Soulless Circle
Watercolor on Vitriol
Song of Dying Stars
I’tha’ ay’thpth’u’tor’nsth’ aa’Xya’ser (a made-up language from a dream journal entry made in autumn 2002)
Operatic Whale
Underwater Sheriff
Robot Coconuts
Tatiana's Sugar High (Melt-Banana-esque, except in Vietnamese)
The Damn Hell Ass Kings (Nothing, would steal clips of Jimi Hendrix and the Doors songs and claim them as their own while talking about how they have a kazooist)
Spectre Angel
Lunar Clockwork (post-rock meets Saw You In Reminding Pictures)
Inoperative Domestic Animal (translating something about dead pets back and forth in different languages)
Moonlit Quicksilver
One of those is a Springfest reference. Yes, the most noticeable thing involved a too-loose lid on powdered sugar getting onto someone's fried dough.
Yeah.

Laurie will join in on getting some giraffes and storming someone's house with lily petals. She says we need bubble wands and bubble guns and silly string and bouncy balls, though.
