Calluna and the Search for LSD
Nov. 7th, 2007 06:43 pmToday was quite interesting. Firefox is still bugged up the anus, to make this as hard as inhumanely possible.
index: lsd and the search for god, looking for things that don't exist, pasghetti, falling piano, time zones, dst, thing that evan wants me to do
I gave Shayna a CD with lovesliescrushing, Harvestman, Alcian Blue, The Emerald Down, Bark Psychosis, Eyeless in Gaza, Flying Saucer Attack, and Cocteau Twins. Many are available on THF. You know where. There would be LSD and the Search for God on the CD, but I got it a bit late for that. I like them, though. Mmm, shoegaze. I remembered something with a song called something absinthe and one called Stargazer, but there are about as many songs with Stargazer in their title as there are shoegazing/post-rock bands.
I told her about LSD and the Search for God. She said it was cool. Jeremy thought it was too long and controversial, and I think controversy is the best part. Mike says that Pasghetti and the Meatballs is the best, and it exists on a technicality, because he's in a piano class with Alex and Matt. He also wants a piano to explode. I suggested that the piano fall on somebody, so that when he opens his mouth, his teeth are keys and he can play his teeth. Or at least become an accordion or a waddling pancake. Hm.
About searching for god, someone suggested that it was at the end of the universe. Not the apocalypse, but a physical boundary. He then said that we're looking for things that are impossible to find. A perfect metaphor for my life.
Dana says that since England has DST a week before us, there's a missing hour in the Atlantic Ocean.
Do you know how many time zones there are in the Soviet Union?
Eleven.
It's not even funny.
There are two things we don't talk about, one's politics, the other's religion.
He also says that Amongst the Heather (the shoegazers are taking flowers back from the emo gits) sounds so familiar because what I had him listen to consisted of one note.
Oh, and guess what? My mood is significant again.
Someone made me do this.
1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not. Say "butterfly" or "milkysoft" a hundred times, I don't care.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions. If you do it somewhere else, I will send the rabid moogles.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
1. Do you believe in the moon?
Only the unenlightened believe in the moon, and with such overwhelming evidence at revisionism.nl , anyone who still believes is probably a selenophile.
2. What do you want to do for a career?
Some kind of research in physics. I'd rather discover new things than be stuck in a jorb that goes nowhere.
3. Do you have any siblings?
A younger sister.
4. What are you afraid of?
Having a meaningless and lonely life.
5. Do you like fudge cookies?
Yeah.
